PANNACOTTA a dessert for which anyone can fall easily and it can be flavored according to the needs. its a cream dessert and it is a perfect dessert that looks extraordinary but is very simple in making. pannacotta can be made within 16 min.
As the pannacotta is a non-vegetarian as it contains gelatin which is made from boiling skins, tendons, ligaments or bones in water so it is not vegan, but it is not a problem as one can use Agar-Agar instead of gelatin which is made from seaweed which is a vegetarian version of gelatin.

what is difference between Gelatine and Agar Agar? Both of these two substances are used in desserts like this easy panacotta recipe and confectionery industry to freeze the product and these are easily available in the market. So let’s start First Gelatine.
This crystalline powder in pale yellow colour is gelatine. This is a non vegetarian product. This is extracted from skin and bones of animals. This is a collagen. This has been used in ice creams, jellos, marshmallows, frozen desserts, gummy bears that means chewy toffees for many years. The products having gelatine in them are marked red, non vegetarian product. Vegetarian don’t need to worry about gelatine as red mark is clear indication of such ingredients.
This is used to make frozen desserts around the world. It has many health benefits and often it is used to get relief from joint pain. We are vegetarian so we don’t use gelatine for making frozen dessert. We use gelatine to prepare cat food. Getatine is a freezing agent and its name is originated from Latin word Gelatus means “stiff” or “frozen” Gelatine is easily available in the market in form of crystalline powder and sheets and it is dissolved in luke warm water before using it in a recipe. It has slightly higher setting or freezing time.
Agar Agar is also known as agar too. It is fully vegetarian and vegan product and often sold in the market as vegetarian substitute of gelatine. This is a polysaccharide obtained from red algae. This has very high amount of fiber. This is also used for jellies, fruit jellies and frozen desserts. This was first discovered in 17th centaury in Japan. This is known as Kanten in Japan. This is dissolved in normal water first and then heated for further usage. This has very less setting time. This is ideal to make fruit jelly or cake in summer in half an hour.
Agar Agar is available in powder form and thread forms in the markets. This is easily available in local stores and online. Gelatine is used for making desserts in western countries where it was first obtained too. On the other hand agar agar is completely Asian product used for making frozen desserts in Japan, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand and now it is very popular as natural gift among vegetarian and vegan.

Price of Agar Agar start from Rs 350/- to Rs 800/- for 100 gm; solely depends on brands and availability of the product. Whereas gelatine is available in fairly economical price. The simplest or Easy panacotta recipe I have shared here is very simple to make so finally here is the easy panacotta recipe with strawberry flavor:-
Ingredients for this easy panacotta recipe
1 cup caster sugar
1/4 cup whole milk
1/2 teaspoon gelatin
1/4 cup cream
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Recipe for panacotta
mix strawberry and castor sugar in a bowl and mix it properly and leave it aside
take cold milk in a pan and sprinkle gelatin evenly
then after 2 to 3 min turn heat to low flame and stir it so that the gelatin dissolved properly.
take 1/2 cup sugar and stir it and turn off the flame add cream and vanilla extract to it.
take a mold as per the preference and pour it in that and place it in the fridge for 30 min to set.
now serve the pana cotta and on the top add the strawberry and sugar mix.
